Who's responsible

Forteresse LLC, a Delaware company registered in the United States, runs this site and decides what happens to the data. You can reach us at arnaud@forteresse.co.

The contact form and email

When you write to us, through the form or by email, we get your name, your email address, the link if you add one, your message, and a few technical details that come with the request: the time, your IP address, the country and time zone it maps to, your browser's language and its user agent. We use them to reply to you and to keep spam out, and for nothing else. We never sell or share them for marketing.

The legal basis is that you asked us to get in touch, and our legitimate interest in answering and in keeping the form free of abuse.

We keep your messages for up to three years after our last exchange, then delete them.

Visits

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites; it records the page, where the visit came from, the country, and the browser and device type, as aggregate numbers. There's no advertising tracker and no cookie banner, because there are no cookies.

Who handles the data for us

Vercel hosts the site and runs the analytics. Resend delivers the form's messages to our inbox, and Zoho hosts that inbox. They process the data only on our behalf. Because we're a US company, what you send is handled in the United States; for visitors in Europe, those transfers rely on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework our providers use.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to object to its use, or to get a copy. Write to arnaud@forteresse.co and we'll answer within a month. If you live in the European Union, the UK or another country with a data protection authority and you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to that authority.
